New Members in My Garden

A co-worker continues to bring me goodies from her garden.  She gave me a bunch of thyme and asked if I was interested in growing mint and Asian basil in my own garden.  Excited, I said yes in nothing flat.  A few days later she brought me a mint plant and a sprout of Asian basil.  I weeded my garden and planted the herbs along with the Italian basil plant.  To be honest, I'm not much of a gardener.  I have a history of killing mint, which seems to be one of the easiest things to grow.  I'm hoping it grows well this time.  My mother in-law warned me that mint can spread like weeds.  To me, that would be success.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
