Cooking Fish: How to Remove that "Fishy" Smell

A common problem when cooking fish is the smell.  The fishy odor sometimes remains in the dish even after cooking, and my Kansas born husband hates fish when it smells like what it is.  Here is a easy trick to reduce the unpleasant smell.  It works especially well for white fish.

Directions
  1. Coat the fish fillets with a little bit of salt, and place them in a shallow container.
  2. Pour sake over it until it almost covers the fillets. Let that rest for about 10~15 minutes.
  3. Rinse the fillets with water and pat dry.
